Protection for glazed areas
Crime Shield is the only way of protecting doors and windows in an architecturaly unobtrusive way.
Crime Shield is the first form of insurance approved window security conceived as an architectural product. There are no unsightly iron bars, steel mesh or expanded metal which may not even protect the glass. Crime Shield unobtrusively protects property and glazing by preventing access to windows. Not only is it insurance approved, which will save you money on your premiums, but it can often be a more economical proposition than conventional window protection.
Crime Shield is a durable metal screen mounted in front of or behind existing windows, allowing over 60% of light and air transmission. That means plenty of air flow and visibility and no 'closed in' feeling of traditional security methods. From a distance Crime Shield merely gives the impression that windows are fitted with tinted glass, but at close quarters it is a visible deterrent to intruders.
Crime Shield is the first form of insurance approved window security conceived as an architectural product. There are no unsightly iron bars, steel mesh or expanded metal, which may not even protect the glass. Crime Shield doesn't disguise the attractiveness of existing windows whether classical or contemporary, traditional or modern. It is a durable metal screen mounted in front of or behind existing windows. It is not a film or a fly screen.
Crime Shield window barriers transmit in excess of 60% of incidental light and '60% free area' means plenty of air flow and visibility. The pattern fools the eye into focussing on the exterior view so that there's no 'closed-in' or 'institutional' feeling. Light, Air and Open Views are important aspects in controlling 'personal environment' for occupant comfort. From a distance Crime Shield merely gives the impression that the windows are fitted with tinted glass; but at close quarters it's a visible deterrent to would-be burglars or glass smashing vandals.
Crime Shield unobtrusively protects property and glazing by preventing access to windows. An optional quick release mechanism is available if required for emergency escape. Manufacture and installation (to all customers requirements) can often be a more economical proposition then frequently replacing the glazing or paying increased insurance premiums.
Crime Shield is manufactured to ISO 9002 Quality Assurance, and certified to LPS 1175 level one. More recently, Crime Shield achieved the S.B.D. Secured By Design Police Preferred Product.
